Shining a light on entrepreneurs: the day of the entrepreneur

Since 2016, the Netherlands has celebrated the Day of the Entrepreneur – a well-deserved recognition of the 1.5 million entrepreneurs who contribute daily to growth, employment, and innovation. Entrepreneurs take risks, show perseverance, and deserve appreciation for their impact on society.

Recognition for entrepreneurship

MKB-Nederland initiated this day to highlight the importance of entrepreneurship and put business owners in the spotlight. Since then, the Day of the Entrepreneur has been celebrated annually during Global Entrepreneurship Week, which takes place in over 150 countries worldwide.

Visit from the Minister and MKB-Nederland chairman

In the lead-up to last year’s Day of the Entrepreneur, Minister Karien van Gennip (Social Affairs and Employment) and MKB-Nederland Chairman Jacco Vonhof visited Bos Nieuwerkerk and Heat Matrix. It was a valuable opportunity to share our vision on entrepreneurship and discuss the challenges facing the industry.

As part of the initiative, our very own Martine – owner and strategic leader of both companies – was featured in a special video portrait. A wonderful tribute to her entrepreneurship and the growth of Bos Nieuwerkerk and Heat Matrix.
