After an extensive search both in the Netherlands and abroad, Project Manager Sidney Bakker found the right partner in Bos Nieuwerkerk and Heat Matrix. This company not only had the technical capabilities to meet the challenge, but also actively contributed ideas to develop effective solutions.
Finding the right partner
“For AVR Duiven, we were looking for a company that could install gas ducts for a CO₂ capture unit. This was a complex task: the flue gases were hot, under low pressure, and posed a high risk of corrosion due to condensation. Some companies work with high-pressure piping, others with low-temperature ventilation ducts, but true specialists in large exhaust systems for high temperatures were hard to find. Bos Nieuwerkerk stood out for their knowledge and flexible approach.”
Collaboration with Heat Matrix
Following a successful collaboration with Bos Nieuwerkerk, Sidney was introduced to Heat Matrix, their sister company, through another project. “Many incineration plants emit hot flue gases, but companies are often hesitant to recover that heat due to the risk of corrosion. Heat Matrix brings the right expertise and develops smart solutions to recover this heat safely and efficiently.”
Turnkey total solution
With Bos Nieuwerkerk providing the gas ducting and Heat Matrix delivering the heat exchanger, there is now a single point of contact for the entire heat recovery installation. “The synergy between these companies is clear. They not only share their technical expertise but also a customer-focused mindset. It’s no surprise they now operate as one organisation.”
